Landscape Architecture Photography

SPECIALTY

I specialize in landscape photography.

I understand and capture built projects that tell memorable and compelling stories.

BACKGROUND

I have a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. As a student, I received multiple awards and nominations: University Olmsted Scholar, BSLA Honor Award, ASLA Merit Award, James Rose Suburbia Transformed 2.0 Exhibition, BSLA Scholarship, and UMass MLA Scholarships.

I pursued photography while working as a landscape designer and became fascinated with documenting built landscapes. My curiosity led me to improve my photography work through observing people's interactions and recording changes in site materials over time.

TRAINING

I practiced landscape architecture at STIMSON and Halvorson Design Partnership, awarding winning landscape architecture firms in the country. While at STIMSON, I worked on the office rebrand identity, new website, and photographed over 30 projects. Additionally, while working as a marketing coordinator, landscape designer and photographer, I played an integral part of setting a record on winning regional (12) and national awards (3) in 25 years since the office was founded.

CRAFTING STORY THROUGH MY LENS

Overall, I enjoy capturing and crafting each project's story through my lens. Each frame is part of the larger concept. I strive to photograph the best and unique perspectives. I believe beautiful projects deserve to win and get recognition with well choreographed images.
